Eagle introduces AI-enabled X-ray inspection platform at PACK EXPO 2026
Eagle by METTLER TOLEDO launched SimulTask 6 at PACK EXPO International 2026, introducing an X-ray inspection platform that combines artificial intelligence, production monitoring and automated reporting.
The platform helps processors analyze inspection results, identify reject patterns and monitor equipment performance. It also supports task-based solutions tailored to specific X-ray inspection applications.
At the trade show, Eagle demonstrated an artificial intelligence bone classification model for its MAXIMIZER RMI system. The model identifies bone types based on characteristics such as shape, location and size.
The solution provides real-time information to processing equipment, enabling adjustments during production. These adjustments can help improve processing efficiency and product yield.
SimulTask 6 presents inspection results, production statistics and performance data through a high-resolution interface. Operators can review throughput, pass and reject counts, inspection status and recorded rejection reasons to investigate production changes.
The platform also includes performance verification routines, personalized user access controls, automated startup health checks and continuous machine health monitoring. Batch PDF reporting reduces manual work when preparing production reviews and audit documentation.
Built on Windows 11, SimulTask 6 supports RFID logins and compatibility with manufacturers’ IT environments. The platform is designed to help manufacturers prepare for evolving cybersecurity requirements, including the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act.
