Series 585/586 inflatable seated butterfly valves are designed for high operating pressures and temperatures and abrasive applications such as sand, feldspar, fly ash and most other dry, granular materials that can reduce valve life. Valves use air pressure to expand the heavy-duty inflatable seat against the disc for increased sealing area and even pressure distribution against the disc, automatically compensating for wear to extend valve life. Standard valve sizes range from 2 to 24 inches (50 to 600 mm) and fit both ANSI and metric flanges. Valves are available in a wide variety of construction materials including stainless steel and aluminum.
