Irvine, California, United States, (September 12 2023; Xylem release) — Xylem’s renowned Flojet brand has enhanced its innovative VersiJet Series industrial motor driven diaphragm (MDD) pumps with the introduction of a new, four-chamber model. Leveraging market-leading pump technology from Flojet, the new MDD pump has been specifically designed to serve industrial applications requiring flow rates of between 3 and 5 gallons per minute (GPM), the equivalent of approximately 11 to 19 liters per minute (LPM).
The new pump is the first four-chamber pump available under the Flojet VersiJet Series and replaces the existing Flojet Quad Series, offering higher pressure capabilities, greater ambient temperature resistance and longer pumping life. The pump head has been specifically designed with a cast aluminum lower housing for enhanced durability, handling a maximum pressure of up to 60 psi. Equivalent MDD pumps under the Flojet Quad Series currently handle a maximum pressure of 45 psi.
The new four-chamber pumps also offer improved heat resistance and have been tested to achieve temperature stabilization in elevated ambient conditions of 122°F (50°C). This capability opens up the four-chamber design to applications in markets requiring spraying or on-demand pumping in high temperature conditions, unlike the previous model available under the Flojet Quad Series. Due to this level of heat durability, the pump is suitable for use in heavy-duty applications.
As the latest addition under the VersiJet Series, the new four-chamber MDD pump joins an expansive line-up of industrial pumps for use in applications including spraying, fluid transfer, filtration, cooling, dispensing and pressure boosting. The newly expanded VersiJet Series, which also includes an innovative five-chamber MDD pump, is capable of handling pressures of up to 70 psi at a maximum capacity of 6 GPM or 23 LPM, approximately.
