Salina Vortex Corporation rebrands as Velocity Flow Technologies
Salina Vortex Corporation has changed its corporate name to Velocity Flow Technologies, reflecting the company’s evolution from a single-brand manufacturer into a multi-disciplinary industrial platform.
The company said the new name aligns with more than a decade of expansion across engineered products, dry bulk material handling, process equipment, and related industrial applications.
“Over the last decade-plus, we’ve deliberately expanded our capabilities through acquisition, product development, and investment in engineering and manufacturing,” said Travis Young, chief executive officer. He added that the former Salina Vortex name represented a strong legacy, but the organization now operates beyond a single brand and product category.
Over the past 12 years, the company has broadened its footprint through a series of acquisitions, including PMC in 2013, now operating as Vortex Loading Solutions; Kasa Fab in 2018, now operating as Spectrum Metalcraft; SolidEx in 2024; Abrasive Blast Systems in 2024, now operating as Fortress Blast Systems; and Hamar Automation in 2026.
According to the company, these additions complement its existing strengths in proprietary equipment design, engineering, programming, and customized made-to-order manufacturing.
The corporate name change does not affect ownership, leadership, contracts, warranties, purchase orders, or day-to-day operations. The company said customer commitments and relationships remain unchanged.
Velocity Flow Technologies will continue operating its portfolio of businesses under their established market-facing identities while leveraging shared resources and best practices across the organization.
The company said the new name supports its long-term strategy of investing in engineering talent, expanding product capabilities, and pursuing disciplined growth across its industrial markets.
