Compass Wire Cloth acquires Sefar screening division in Georgia
Compass Wire Cloth has acquired the screening division of Sefar Corporation in Gray, Georgia, expanding its manufacturing footprint and increasing capacity for industrial screening solutions in the Southeast United States.
The transaction closed March 31, 2026, and includes the Round Ring Screen business, the Georgia facility, and its existing workforce. According to Compass Wire Cloth, the acquisition adds specialized pre-tension manufacturing capabilities that complement its current operations in New Jersey.
The Gray facility will focus on producing round pretension screens and related products for regional manufacturing operations. The additional capacity is expected to support growing demand from vibratory separator users, OEMs, and distributors across the Southeast.
Compass Wire Cloth said establishing a manufacturing and warehouse presence in Georgia will improve response times and reduce shipping costs for customers in the region. The company will continue to manage all orders and customer service through its New Jersey headquarters, maintaining centralized coordination and consistent service levels.
No disruptions are expected as Compass Wire Cloth transitions the business from Sefar. Product specifications, quality standards, and customer support processes will remain unchanged.
“This acquisition is a strategic step in Compass Wire Cloth’s long-term growth plan,” said David Gentilini, Chief Sales Officer and Vice President of Business Development at Compass Wire Cloth. He added that the expansion will increase production capacity and improve turnaround times for customers in the Southeast.
The Georgia operation, which has historically specialized in round pretension screens, will now operate under the Compass Wire Cloth brand. The company said the addition strengthens its technical capabilities and positions it to support increased demand for industrial wire cloth and screening solutions in key regional markets.
