SONGWON Industrial Co., Ltd. has received a Mass Balance Grade certificate from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) for its SONGNOX 1076 phenolic antioxidant, expanding its portfolio of sustainable polymer additives.

The certification, issued in January 2026, allows SONGWON to offer SONGNOX 1076 as a RSPO-certified product option. According to the company, customer trial quantities were available beginning in April 2026, with a commercial launch planned for the second half of the year.

SONGWON said the certification marks its first product to meet RSPO requirements and positions the company to expand its portfolio with additional certified products in the future.

The company noted that SONGNOX 1076 already has a low carbon footprint within its product class. The new certified option is intended to help customers strengthen responsible sourcing practices, reduce the risk of deforestation in supply chains, and prepare for upcoming regulatory requirements, including future European Union deforestation regulations.
