Plaskimia has introduced an industrial platform that combines plasma chemistry, continuous-flow processing, and artificial intelligence to accelerate the development and commercialization of chemical manufacturing processes.

Developed from more than a decade of research at Chimie Paris-PSL, the platform is designed to help manufacturers develop chemical processes that use less energy, fewer raw materials, and fewer catalysts while reducing environmental impact.

Unlike conventional chemical manufacturing methods that often require high temperatures, high pressures, or metal catalysts, Plaskimia's technology activates chemical reactions inside microreactors using cold plasma under milder operating conditions. According to the company, the approach can simplify process development and improve the transition from laboratory research to industrial-scale production.

The platform consists of two core technologies. PlasmaFlow uses continuous-flow plasma chemistry to generate reactive chemical species that initiate reactions, while PlasmAI analyzes experimental data and recommends new reaction conditions to optimize performance and explore alternative synthetic routes. Each experiment adds data to a proprietary database that improves the platform's optimization capabilities over time.

According to Plaskimia, the technology can reduce energy consumption, decrease solvent and catalyst use, improve operational safety through smaller reaction volumes, and shorten process development cycles. Depending on the application, the company says the platform can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80%.

Plaskimia said it is already collaborating with industrial partners to validate the technology in commercial applications. Since 2019, research conducted at Chimie Paris-PSL has included collaboration with Sanofi to evaluate plasma chemistry for medicinal chemistry. The company also holds several international patent families and an exclusive commercialization license supporting its technology.

Plaskimia is targeting applications in fine chemicals, pharmaceutical manufacturing, flavors, fragrances, cosmetics, and fluorinated compounds, where manufacturers are seeking more efficient and sustainable methods for developing and scaling new chemical production processes. According to the company, its long-term strategy is to become a technology partner for manufacturers developing next-generation chemical production methods.
