Blue-White 2-Series metering pumps debut at WEFTEC 2026
Blue-White dropped some big news on the first day of WEFTEC 2026 in New Orleans by officially debuting its new 2-Series metering pumps. Processing had a chance to connect with Blue-White president Rob Gledhill to talk about the pumps, which are on display at Booth 4252 and Booth 719 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Q: Rob, this is certainly an exciting day for Blue-White. What can you tell us about the 2-Series?
The 2-Series is not a refresh of an existing pump. It is a new chemical metering platform we designed from the ground up for the way water and wastewater professionals work today.
For more than two years, a cross-functional team at Blue-White has been building one drive that accepts two pumping technologies: FLEXFLO peristaltic and CHEM-FEED diaphragm. The operator can change the pump head, and the pumping technology, without replacing the drive, the display, or the control platform.
That is the idea behind the 2-Series. One platform. Two technologies. Built so the pump can adapt when the application changes.
Q: What are some of the features that make the 2-Series unique?
That same removable-head design also changes service. If a tube or diaphragm needs attention, the operator can swap in a spare head, restart the process, and service the original head on the bench.
Around that platform we added the things operators have been asking for: a proven Blue-White touchscreen, modern M12 connections, a protective display shield, and three configurations: Base, Control, and Supreme — so customers can choose the capability they need.
Q: What types of applications is the 2-Series suited for?
The 2-Series is built for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment, the work Blue-White has been doing for decades. Typical uses include chemical feed for disinfection, pH adjustment, coagulation, and other process chemicals where accuracy and uptime matter.
FLEXFLO peristaltic is a strong fit for off-gassing or abrasive chemicals and for applications. CHEM-FEED diaphragm is the better fit when the job needs higher pressure.
Because both technologies share the same drive, a plant does not have to standardize on only one pumping technology. They can match the head to the chemical and the process.
Q: Why did you choose WEFTEC for the official debut of the 2-Series?
WEFTEC is the most important event of the year for water professionals and the people who specify, install, and operate chemical metering equipment. If we were going to introduce a new platform, this was the right place.
This is the official debut. It is the first time the industry will see the 2-Series. Production and shipping are planned to begin March 1, 2027.
