3 | PolySlide Composite Tubing
Polygon Composites Technology recently announced PolySlide Composite Tubing for pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders. PolySlide tubing replaces metallic material in a variety of cylinder applications. Supplied as a cylinder tube ready for customer assembly, or as fully engineered cylinder assemblies for equipment manufacturer applications, the tubing is made of continuous filament-wound glass fiber and polymer resins. The fiberglass filament and resin materials combine to form a high-strength component that exhibits dimensional stability, is non-corroding, impingement resistant and non-conductive.
4 | PureWeld XL Tubing
PureWeld XL tubing from Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group offers extended lifespan and steady flow consistency, overcoming the technical challenges associated with continuous bioprocessing. The results of a recent study show longer peristaltic pump life and sustainable flow rate delivery when compared with competing Thermoplastic Elastomer tubing. In the study, PureWeld XL was compared with two other types of TPE tubing, testing pump performance against elevated discharge pressures, peristaltic life and flow stability. PureWeld XL showed an average lifetime of 293 hours, compared to 119 hours and 10 hours for its competitors.
