Lightning struck a storage tank at a chemical plant in Houston early Wednesday morning and sparked a small fire, click2houston.com reported.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 2:00 a.m. and found that a tank containing mineral oil was on fire. Mineral oil is a non-flammable additive used to make engine oil. Officials said lightning struck the tank around 12:30 a.m., causing the blaze.

The flames were extinguished quickly and no chemical release was reported.
