Loves Park, IL, June 10, 2026 (WaterSurplus release) – WaterSurplus announced today that a major U.S. bottler has selected a 500 GPM ImpactRO reverse osmosis system to produce ingredient water at a new bottling plant in New York.

The project continues a long-standing relationship with the customer, whose name remains confidential, with ImpactRO systems already installed at multiple bottling plants operated by the customer across the United States. This installation will also include NanoStack-coated membrane elements to ensure consistent process water quality and reliable long-term performance.

ImpactRO is engineered as a high-recovery RO platform built to reduce membrane fouling and lower operating costs in demanding production environments. As a steady-state technology, ImpactRO delivers consistently high-quality permeate without the performance drift, membrane fouling, or maintenance issues common in dynamic high-recovery RO technologies. With recovery capabilities of up to 96%, the system helps minimize the amount of water to drain while maintaining stable performance.

ImpactRO also integrates NanoScope, a direct membrane monitor with high-resolution performance tracking and analytics, which helps operators detect subtle shifts in RO operation early, enabling them to predict, prevent, and reverse fouling before it affects production.

The NanoStack-coated membranes incorporate an NSF/ANSI/CAN 61-certified hydrophilic surface modification engineered to reduce foulant adhesion and improve cleanability. By resisting fouling and supporting stronger flux recovery after cleaning, NanoStack-coated elements help extend the time between clean-in-place events, reduce the risk of unplanned downtime, and contribute to lower lifecycle costs.

“WaterSurplus is dedicated to developing and delivering state-of-the-art water treatment solutions that help customers operate more efficiently, sustainably, and reliably,” said WaterSurplus president John Barelli.

“Over more than three decades, we have built a strong reputation as a deeply customer-focused solutions provider, and we are proud of the continued trust this major bottler has placed in our team, our expertise, and our ongoing innovation. As water challenges become more complex across sectors, we remain committed to helping customers solve critical operational issues, improve performance, and achieve long-term success through advanced technology and responsive partnership,” Barelli added.
