Bulk material feeder manufacturer Gericke USA has introduced the Easy-Clean Swiveling System, a new option for its FEEDOS line of volumetric and gravimetric feeders designed to simplify cleaning and maintenance in processing operations.

The Easy-Clean Swiveling System features a hinged hopper design that allows operators full access to the feeder’s chamber interior without removing the equipment from the processing line. According to Gericke USA, the swiveling design allows one operator to open the hopper, clean the feeding chamber, and return the unit to service, reducing the labor typically required for maintenance.

The Easy-Clean option is available on the FEEDOS line of automated feeders used to meter and dose dry bulk materials. The stainless-steel feeders are designed to handle powders, pellets, granules, and other dry materials, including cohesive and non-free-flowing products.

The FEEDOS feeder line supports both batch and continuous operations. The FEEDOS S model operates at feed rates from 0.5 to 550 cubic decimeters per hour, while the FEEDOS M model handles feed rates ranging from 20 to 3,600 cubic decimeters per hour.

Manufacturers can evaluate the swiveling FEEDOS feeders in a fully operating processing line at Gericke USA’s test laboratory in Somerset, New Jersey. The automated powder feeders are delivered ready for installation and include a one-year warranty, according to the company.
