Pulva Corp. launches Pulva-Sizer hammer mill pulverizer line

Pulva Corp. has introduced the Pulva-Sizer line of pulverizers, a new series of hammer mills designed for industrial particle size reduction applications across food, grain, chemical, and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors.

Manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Valencia, Pennsylvania, the made-in-USA Pulva-Sizer line includes six standard models ranging from benchtop units to large-scale production systems, along with custom configurations for specialized applications.

According to Pulva Corp., the Pulva-Sizer impact pulverizers are designed to process dry, wet, fibrous, abrasive, and other materials while maintaining controlled particle size distribution at high throughputs.

The systems automatically feed material from a hopper into a grinding chamber using twin feed screws. Inside the chamber, high-speed rotating hammers reduce the material size until it passes through a screen for discharge downstream.

The pulverizer mills support both continuous and batch processing operations. Manufacturers can configure the systems with different hammer types, screen hole sizes, screen materials, and other equipment options based on processing requirements.

Pulva Corp. said manufacturers can also evaluate materials using full-size operational machines at the company’s on-site testing laboratory in Valencia, Pennsylvania.
