Chroma Color Corporation appoints chief HR officer
Chroma Color Corporation recently appointed Cass Birchbauer to the role of chief human resource officer. She reports directly to CEO Tom Bolger.
In her previous role as the chief human resources officer for Spartech, Birchbauer led the HR function through transformational change which resulted in the recent sale of the Spartech business, according to company officials.
Prior to Spartech, Birchbauer worked in various HR leadership roles for PolyOne Corporation. She was employed at General Electric as a retained consultant for 10 years. Birchbauer earned her doctorate in social work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Key Technology names global VP of sales
Key Technology, a member of the Duravant family of operating companies, recently promoted Daniel Leighty to global vice president of sales. Leighty is responsible for activities that lead Key’s worldwide sales organization to bring the company’s digital sorting, conveying and process automation systems to the market.
Leighty has been with Key since 2007 and brings more than 25 years of experience in sales management. Prior to this promotion, he was global sales operations and managing director of Key’s Netherlands facility. He will continue as managing director of Key Technology B.V. in the Netherlands while assuming his new position as global vice president of sales. Previously, he was the managing director of Key’s Belgian facility. Leighty holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Oregon State University.
Key Technology designs and manufactures automation systems including digital sorters, conveyors and other processing equipment.
Conval names new VP of sales and marketing
Conval recently appointed Don Bowers Jr. as vice president of sales and marketing. In this new role, he will be responsible for all domestic and global sales and marketing initiatives and results.
Bowers joined Conval in the spring of 2017 as director of sales for Nuclear & Key Accounts. His experience and knowledge base spans almost four decades in the thermal power and severe service valve industry. A graduate of the College of William & Mary, Bowers’ career has included positions at Graver Energy Systems, Bechtel Power, Crane, Velan and Weir, with more than 35 years in key management positions in the valve industry.
Founded in 1967, Conval, Inc. designs and manufactures U.S.-made, high-performance severe service valves.
Wilmington Machinery names sales and marketing manager
Wilmington Machinery recently promoted Jim Boos to the position of sales and marketing manager. Boos previously held the position of operations manager at Wilmington Machinery. Before joining Wilmington Machinery, Boos gained valuable experience in quality and project management with other manufacturers.
Since its founding in 1972, Wilmington Machinery has been building high-performance, low-pressure structural foam molding machines. In addition, the company has built custom extrusion, thermoforming and industrial blow molding machinery, along with a primary line of high-capacity rotary blow molding systems for polyolefin monolayer/multilayer barrier blow molded packaging.
NVAC names regional sales manager
NAVAC, the world’s largest supplier of HVAC vacuum pumps in addition to a wide array of tools, gauges, charging machines, recovery units and other industry-specific items, has hired Keith Keller for the role of Southern regional sales manager. In this position, Keller will spearhead sales efforts and play a fundamental role in expanding the company’s brand and sales network in a geographic area ripe for further growth.
Keller has more than 15 years of experience in the HVAC service industry. Prior to joining NAVAC, he spent nearly a decade advancing through positions at Gemaire Distributors, including the last three as a product manager. Before that, he held sales roles with Aloha Air Conditioning of Broward County, Florida.
Total Specialties appoints senior VP for lubricants
Franck Bagouet, formerly the president of Total Canada, has been promoted to senior vice president for lubricants at Total Specialties USA. Bagouet will succeed Christophe Doussoux, who has assumed a new leadership role in Paris for Total. Bagouet will report to Ernst Wanten, president & CEO Total Specialties USA Inc.
Bagouet joins Total Specialties USA as a 30-year veteran of Total, the last five being with Total Canada.
Bagouet will be based in the company’s Linden, New Jersey, Technical Headquarters and Blending Facility, overseeing staff in Houston and across the U.S.
