Hapman enhances bulk material handling equipment capabilities through major plant expansion
Hapman has announced a major expansion of its manufacturing facility, adding 18,500 square feet to support growing demand for bulk material handling equipment. The project increases the company’s total manufacturing footprint by 35 percent.
The expanded space will include a two-person paint booth designed to improve throughput and finish quality, along with dedicated areas for prewire and assembly operations. Shipping and receiving functions will also be upgraded, and additional capacity will be allocated for Helix inventory, equipment staging, and parts storage.
All customer equipment runoffs will now take place in the new facility area, separating them from ongoing production to ensure cleaner, quieter operations.
According to Randy McBroom, Vice President of Manufacturing, the expansion marks a significant milestone as the company celebrates its 80th anniversary. “The additional space and advanced capabilities will allow us to better serve our customers while continuing to deliver the reliable solutions they have come to expect from us,” McBroom said.
The investment positions Hapman to handle increased order volumes, streamline operations, and maintain its role as a leading provider of custom bulk material handling solutions.
