The effect of the input control parameters: t op weight force, bottom weight force and lead angle are defined to create an understandi ng of vibration generation. The output parameter measurements techniques for: horizontal motion, vertical motion, and phase angle are defined to create an understanding of the vibration generated. This article will then explain the motion of particles inside th e separator and how to adjust the weights to obtain the optimum vibratory motions. Pract ical guidelines are introduced for weight setting methodology to achieve optimum screening patterns.
